We are happy to share that After the Fire by Will Hill and Illegal by Eoin Colfer and Andrew Donkin, illustrated by Giovanni Rigano, are on the Recommended Fiction Book List for the 2019 In The Margins Book Award. The In The Margins Book Award is organized by the Library Services for Youth in Custody group, which is an organization that advocates for those who provide services for youth in custody. The In the Margins Book Award Recommended Fiction Book List is chosen by a committee of librarians who work with marginalized youth who choose title that are of high-interest appeal to youth ages 9—21 living in poverty, on the streets, or in custody. Giovanni Rigano (right) is an Italian artist and illustrator born in Cantù, Italy. He is best known for his role in the creation of the Artemis Fowl graphic novels, the first of which came out in 2007. Giovanni has also created graphic novels for Disney, including The Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean. Giovanni currently lives in Como, Italy. After the Fire by Will Hill
Will Hill grew up in the northeast of England and worked in bartending, bookselling, and publishing before quitting to write full-time.
