Valerie Pierce has been promoted to Director - Marketing, Retail & Creative Services from Senior Manager - Marketing, Retail & Creative Services. Pierce will continue to build on the the incredible foundation she laid as manager of the Marketing department and leading efforts to position and market our books to booksellers and store managers, to lead the industry in the creativity and effectiveness of our marketing communications, and to drive the most impact out of title- and author-level campaigns through very strategic and out-of-the-box marketing tactics.
Heather Moore has been promoted to Director - Marketing, Jabberwocky from Senior Manager - Marketing, Jabberwocky. Moore will continue to expand the market share and growth positions of Sourcebooks' juvenile prongs, as well as re-imagine the level of impact that a publisher's events strategy can have for books and authors.
Sarah Haley has been promoted to Customer Service Team Lead. Haley started her career with Sourcebooks in February of 2014 and has proven to be an asset to the department and company. Since her first day at Sourcebooks, she has demonstrated professionalism, integrity and has continuously gone above and beyond for every customer that she encounters.
With her promotion, Haley will oversee the front desk as well as manage all relations with current and potential customers. She will manage all processes for manual order entry. She will maintain all project management with respect to employee outreach and oversee all order fulfillment to Bookstore customers. Haley will continue to maintain and manage export oversees accounts, Author and event processing, as well as build and support relationships with larger retailer accounts.
Taylor Maccoux has been promoted to Assistant Editor, Jabberwocky Entertainment group. Maccoux joined Sourcebooks in May of 2017. Since that time, she has enthusiastically tackled every task she has been given, from administrative tasks and support to running the calendar line for editorial and pitching new book concepts.
In her new role, Maccoux will handle the administrative needs of our list while continuing to grow and manage the calendar list and adding new licensed and packaging titles. She will continue to assist with list planning and strategy, strengthen her developmental editing and positioning skills, and continue to strengthen her creative skills in building her own list of titles.
Claire Payne joins Sourcebooks as Director of Sales – Mass & Special Markets where she will be leading expansion in mass market as well as the national specialty retail gift and corporate sales channels.

Payne was most recently Senior Director of Sales at Parragon, where she grew sales at her largest customer by more than 400 percent and significantly expanded out-of-book-department placement. Payne has also previously worked at Bendon and Dalmatian Press.
