This is great to hear! THE BORDER is being featured in the DearReader.com Online Teen Book Club in January 2019, and we just know that the teens who read the excerpts we will share will be as moved as we were when we selected THE BORDER as a book to feature in the club. Steve Schafer has written about such a tragedy with grace, poise, and heartfelt emotions. This is truly a book that every teen, and adult, would greatly benefit from reading. We wish Mr. Schafer the very best of luck in winning the Joan F. Kaywell Books Save Lives Award.

I have a student who is trying to read one million years this school year. Can you tell me how many words are in The Border please?
