Throughout, readers are prompted to listen to the accompanying CD-ROM, which features more than 100 musical samples. Information is clearly presented, and the author’s enthusiasm for her subject is contagious. Readers will enjoy browsing through the volume, and music teachers will welcome it with enthusiasm.
