Hailey Twitch wants to have fun, fun, FUN!
Hailey has a secret. She has a friend named Maybelle that no one else can see. Hello, long weekend! Hailey is going camping with her best friend and her magical sprite. They will get to eat delicious ooey-gooey marshmallows. It will be the best weekend ever! Only one thing can ruin their fun: Maybelle’s out of control magic.
Can Hailey stop Maybelle from giving them itch, itch, itchy poison ivy?
“This winning series depicts one youngster’s balancing act between her sweet and spunky sides and provides a welcome resource for kids waiting for the next Clementine or Moxy Maxwell.” —Kirkus

Reviews
The only thing better than a long weekend is going camping on a long weekend! Not only will Hailey get to make s’mores and hot dogs, sing around the campfire, and get dirty, but she also gets to bring her best friend with her! The only downsides are the dark and Hailey’s sister’s friend, who is always mean to Hailey. But when Hailey’s sister and her friend sneak off to a tree house in the night and get stuck, Hailey and the magical sprite Maybelle could be the only ones who can help them.
Hailey Twitch and the Campground Itch is full of laughs and trouble, two things my Kylie is famous for. :) When her big sister brings a friend to their family weekend camp out, Haily gets grouchy. Her sisters friend is bossy. When Maybelle tried to give her a taste of her own medicine, hilarity ensues with mischievous tricks that go haywire like turning Haileys big sisters bossy friends hair green. Maybelle has issues controlling her magic. Hailey on the other hand, learns some valuable lessons throughout the book. My only complaint? I could do without the slang in this book. Kylie and I had a talk about it before I let her read it, and I really feel like it wasnt needed. Snag your own copy of Hailey Twitch and the Campground Itch on Amazon for $6.99.” - My Four Monkeys
“This is a great book (okay busted again for reading teen books! And yes, my niece also read it.) It is truly along the vein of Ramona the Brave and other childhood favorites of mine. This character harnesses the favorite things of childhood...the mischievous behavior, the fun and games and more. I love how they refer to her as a seven year old "mastermind" - well put!” - Retail Therapy Lounge
“This book a great read for younger readers. I know that the book is geared for readers that are between 9-12, but my 6 year old enjoyed it (though she is reading at a much higher level than typical). We read through it together and we both enjoyed it. Actually, seeing that this was the first in the series that we read, my eldest has already said that she would like to read the other books in the series as well.
While I would not always read a book like this myself, I know that it is a book that my daughters would definitely read and I got confirmation of this as we read this together.
I will say that this book was a fun read and the characters were very memorable. You definitely find yourself cheering on Hailey and wondering what will come next. My daughter and I are looking forward to the other books in this series!” - Dad of Divas
“Hailey Twitch’s excitement turns sour when her teenage sisters demanding friend joins the family on a weekend getaway. Even the second grader’s not-so-imaginary sidekick Maybelle faces challenges at the family campground. Desperate to retain her magical abilities, the spunky sprite exerts her powers with unintended consequences. This series entry maintains a well-realized child-centered perspective through every humorous magical snafu. (Arcade games run amok, and the bossy friend’s hair turns green.) Haileys realistic worries address her jealousy and self-doubt as she initially emulates her sibling’s behavior. When her sister takes part in a forbidden exploration, Haileys thoughtful response demonstrates substantial growth. Hailey also reveals her growing maturity as she empathizes with her favorite classmate. “Now I know how Addie Jokobeck feels when she is trying to get me to listen to lots and lots of rules. It feels like a very big frustration.” The youngsters energetic voice rings true despite an overabundance of exclamation points. Wispy cartoon sketches depict outraged expressions and sheepish grins. A cliffhanger sets the stage for the next installment. This wholly satisfying trek embodies the a typical Hailey-ism: “very fun and funny.”” - Kirkus
