About the Author

Cecelia Boswell Ed.D.

Cheryll M. Adams, Ph.D., is the Director of the Center for Gifted Studies and Talent Development at Ball State University. She teaches graduate courses for the license in gifted education. For the past 30 years, she has served in the field of gifted education as a teacher of gifted students at all grade levels, Director of Academic Life at the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, and as the principal teacher in the Ball State Institute for the Gifted in Mathematics program. Cecelia Boswell, Ed.D. is the founder of Austin Creek Education Systems (ACES). She has more than 35 years of experience in public school classroom teaching and as consultant and liaison to local education agencies with the Texas Education Agency, Advanced Academic Services Division. Since founding ACES, she has worked as consultant with the Florida Department of Education, with multiple independent school districts and Education Service Centers across Texas, and the Texas Education Agency. She has audited and facilitated restructure of advanced academics services in a variety of Texas school districts.
