How to Participate
Official Rules
This contest is sponsored by Sourcebooks, Inc. ("Sponsor")
Eligibility
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This contest is open to all elementary school educators throughout the United States. Offer void outside the United States and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
Entry
You must be an elementary school educator (grades kindergarten through sixth) and you must submit a completed entry form by November 23, 2011.
Your entry form must be sent along with a brief answer to one of the two questions below:
In Horrid Henry Wakes the Dead, Horrid Henry performs a magic show to "wake the dead" with help from his brother, Perfect Peter, for the school talent competition. Have your group of students suggest activities they could perform in a school talent show. What would they be and why? Have the students vote on their favorite talent to submit as your answer.
In A Whale of a Time, Bindi Irwin saves a whale and her calf from a dangerous oil spill through the ingenious use of a catamaran and break-dancing! Ask your students to pick their favorite animal to save and their reason why.
Send or email the forms and answers to the address below by November 23, 2011. One Grand Prize winner and ten 2nd place winners will be chosen by random drawing.
The Grand Prize Winner (1) will receive:
$1000 worth of books from Sourcebooks, Inc., including complete sets of the Horrid Henry and Bindi Wildlife Adventures series!
Ten 2nd Place Winners will receive:
A prize pack of books, including complete sets of the Horrid Henry and Bindi Wildlife Adventures series and selected titles from Sourcebooks Jabberwocky.
Contest Deadline:
All contest entry forms must be received by Sourcebooks, Inc. by midnight EST November 23, 2011. The 2nd Place and Grand Prize winners will be announced December 1, 2011.
