About the Book

*What is your book about? Please provide a description.
Joseph and Anne Marino are rare; they're still in love after 53 years of marriage. With little time left, Joseph’s priority becomes finishing the stone wall that Anne requested years ago. Enter troubled teens. Go beyond generation gaps to touch the humanity that defines us.

*How long have you been at work on this book?
The book was written between 1995 and 1998.

*How did the idea originate?
I lived in Pine Mountain Club, in Southern California, during the writing of the book. I noticed that the retired elderly and the local teens were in search of something - yet they rarely reached out to each other. The teens needed adult interaction; the adults could use the help the teens could offer.

*Did the book entail any unusual writing habits or places?
The book was written in the town in which the book is set, on Aleutian Drive, next to the golf course. The settings are all real places. I take groups of readers there regularly. I really enjoy doing these tours.
