Marie Sullivan Force has been a professional writer and editor for more than twenty years. She resides in Rhode Island with her husband, two children, and a dog named Consuela.
I'm writing two books at the same time right now, so between that and my day job, I haven't been reading very much. When I do have time, I tend to gravitate toward historical romance. Lisa Kleypas and Mary Balogh are among my favorites.
What books would you recommend to your readers?
Anything by Lisa Kleypas or Mary Balogh!
Any message to your readers?
I love hearing from readers and I thank them for their support and encouragement. I've made some wonderful friends among my readers, and that's been the most rewarding part of my writing career.
What is your book about? Please provide a description.
Cole Langston is an American hero. After landing a plane in a blizzard and then reviving his stricken co-pilot, Cole becomes a household name. Just as he is getting his life back to normal, he's involved in an airport altercation during which he meets Olivia, a shy artist who works at the airport. Once he meets "the one," Cole has to get busy getting rid of his bevy of other women before the only one he wants figures out she's one of many.
How long have you been at work on this book?
I wrote this book quite a while ago. I think it took me about two months to write.
How did the idea originate?
My husband and I were having a drink at an airport bar when a pilot came along and rushed into the arms of a gorgeous blonde. I imaged they were carrying on a long-distance relationship, and that planted the seeds for the book that became Everybody Loves a Hero.
