David P. Murphy is a songwriter and producer of two CDs, Shining in a Temporary Sun and Henry Perry’s Effortless. He has been playing piano since he was a kid and is still trying to get it right. Mr. Murphy currently resides in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska (much to his amazement and delight), with his unusually large cat, Beany. He has recently completed his newest musical, anotherwhere, and his next album, Standing on Salinger’s Lawn, will be released in late 2009. This is his first book. He hopes to one day retire to Scarlet Shores Beta. Now that’s post-livin’!
What is your book about? Please provide a description.
A guide for better health, style and sex for the recently-bitten. If you can get through the book within 72 hours, you have a significantly better chance of retaining more of your humanity after the Transition!
How long have you been at work on this book?
About a year and a half
How did the idea originate?
I’m a huge zombie fan and I wanted to do something to contribute to the culture and, God willing, improve the quality of “life” for our living dead brethren.
Did the book entail any unusual writing habits or places?
Spent most of my writing time holed up in a bedroom in Berkeley in a house that Phillip K. Dick lived in as a teen!
