Accounting

Part Time Temporary Accounting/Contracts Clerk
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Download, track,and print monthly ebook sales reports
  • Assure timely and accurate entry of ebook royalty records
  • Follow up on missing contract information
  • Provide sales reports to accounts receivable associate for timely invoicing
  • Assist accountant with periodic royalty statement reports and mailing
  • Assist with accounts payable functions, as needed, including receiving, routing,coding and entering vendor invoices in a timely manner, as needed
  • Print and mail AP checks weekly, as needed
  • Handle vendor inquiries, research and resolve problem invoices

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years accounts payable experience (contracts knowledge desirable)

Sourcebooks, Inc. is a fast-growing, innovative, independent book publisher located in the western suburbs of Chicago. We currently publish over 300 new books per year and are expanding our freelance cover design resources.

We are looking for talented freelance book cover designers for the following categories:

  • Mass Market Romance Fiction
  • Adult Non-Fiction, trade paperback
  • Adult Fiction

Key Features / Deliverables for titles are:

  • Cover conception requires a minimum of three distinct covers.
  • Final delivery will include fully designed book covers (front cover, spine, back cover) in both application and PDF file formats ready for printer.
  • All source design files must be in InDesign and Adbobe CS3 applications in a Mac compatible formats.
  • All work is for hire, and all source files, including fonts, etc. are to be transferred for project to be complete.

Sourcebooks, Inc. is looking for an intern to join the customer service department. If you love books and are interested in book publishing, working for a New York Times-bestselling book publisher in Naperville is the perfect way to get involved in the business. The customer service intern will enter customer orders and returns, provide assistance to the other customer service representatives on special projects, and help out in the shipping room when needed. Sourcebooks, Inc., a leading book publisher located in the western suburbs of Chicago, seeks an outstanding individual to intern as part of our Copyediting and Proofreading department.  This position will support the senior managing editor and four production editors for approximately 20 hours a week.  This position does not require all time to be spent on site, but would be expected on site at least 1 day a week.

  • Primary responsibility will be to provide proofreading support on assigned titles
  • Quality check for page corrections as they are returned from production, including first page checks prior to proofreading and supporting production editors on final checks of pages before closing to manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned by managing editor
